{A} - Intro and Credits ==>

For those who have never heard of it before, Fluxx is a card game where the rules are ever-changing, and a lot of crazy things can happen. There are a bunch of different versions out - including Zombie, Pirate, and even an Eco-Friendly one - and each is incredibly fun to play, especially with more people.

This is a new version of Fluxx, based off the webcomic Homestuck. Images for the cards were taken from the comic itself, the MSPA Wiki, and / or Google Images. I claim no ownership of the images or the card game itself. I did, however, come up with the cards in the deck, edited them, and came up with the rules for this version.

{D} - How to print out the Fluxx cards ==>

Print out the files for the grouped cards. It's really as easy as that. I've put them 9 to a page. It's best to print them out on cardstock paper, so it's a bit thicker for playing on. After printing them, cut them out. There are tiny guidelines on the cards themselves to show where you should be cutting. There aren't backs to the cards unless you create them yourselves, unfortunately. Sorry about that! After cutting out all 128 cards, shuffle them and start playing!!

{E} - What's new in FLUXX: Homestuck Edition? ==>

Similar to other versions of Fluxx, Homestuck Edition features card types. These include Alternian, Human, and Skaian. They are marked on Keeper cards by a small picture of Karkat, John, and Skaia, respectively. These are used for certain actions and to win certain goals.

FLUXX: Homestuck Edition actually includes at least one card of each type! (Ungoals are not explained in the rules contained in the folder, so be sure to read about them below.) There are many ways to win, and each card is useful in their own way. If you come up with your own, you can add them to the deck without making changes. Taking cards out is a slightly different story, though. But feel free to mix it up and add or remove what you like!

Many Keepers have extra rules or uses on them - such as the Tiaratop, for example. Be sure to look at them and use the extra rules to your advantage!!

{F} - Fluxx Rules in a Nutshell ==>

A game of Fluxx consists of four basic card types, with the possibility of three extra card types. The basic card types are New Rules, Keepers, Goals, and Actions. These are used to make the most bare-bones versions of the game possible. They're all you need to play the game, really. The extra card types are what add in a few more pinches of fun. These card types are Surprises, Ungoals, and Creepers.

+ NEW RULES
These are cards that change the basic rules of the game.
You begin a game with the rules 'Draw 1, Play 1.'
New Rules can change simple things, like Draw or Play counts.
(For example, making something 'Draw 3, Play 2.')
New Rules can also add limits, such as Keeper Limits or Hand Limits.
Finally, New Rules can also add more fun things to the game.
(An example is having to speak like a pirate to draw more cards, in the Pirate Fluxx version.)

+ KEEPERS
These are the cards that allow you to win a game of FLUXX.
Keeper cards are set in front of the player when used.
When combined with other Keepers, they allow you to achieve the Goal set down.
There isn't a lot to say about Keepers, since they don't really do much but sit there and look nice.
Some Keepers have extra uses, explained on the card itself.
(An example is the Captain's Hat in Pirate Fluxx; it keeps other players from stealing your cards.)

+ GOALS
These are the cards that decide what you need to win the game.
Only one Goal card may be on the table at any time, unless a New Rule changes this.
The Goal card specifies what Keepers (or, sometimes, Creepers) you need to win.
If a player fulfills all of the requirements of the current Goal at any time, they win the game.
There are some Goals that allow Creepers to be combined with a Keeper to win.
(These are not to be confused with Ungoals.)

+ ACTIONS
These cards can change almost anything in the game.
Actions can be as simple as allowing you to draw three extra cards.
They can be more dynamic as well, such as allowing players to steal cards from each other.
Actions really spice up the game and help keep players on their toes at all times!

+ SURPRISES
These cards can be played at any time, and typically reverse the outcome of another card.
Surprises have two different uses; one for during your turn, and one for outside your turn.
These cards do not necessarily have anything to do with the theme of the game.
Rather, they deal with card types, and change outcomes and play ability based on those types.

+ UNGOALS
These cards discard the current goal and change it to something can that either hinder or help players' chances of winning.
An excellent example of an Ungoal is in the Zombie Fluxx deck.
A player can win by having a certain number of zombie Creepers.
Another example is in the Martain Fluxx deck.
All players are forced to lose if certain cards are all on the table at once.
Ungoals can easily make or break a player's chance of winning.

+ CREEPERS
These cards typically prevent you from winning the game, unless otherwise stated.
They must be played immediately upon drawing them.
Unless otherwise stated on the card itself, Creepers stay with you.
Certain Creepers allow you to get rid of the card, either in conjunction with other cards or by other specified terms.

{G] - END ALREADY!!! ==>

Thank you to Andrew Hussie for creating Homestuck, Looney Labs for creating Fluxx and making it so open to new changes, and you for reading this long-ass readme. :B <3 Enjoy the game!

+ No grubs were culled in the making of this game.
